I received a letter from the sheriff department and I don't know what is for. It's through a company LVNV Funding and Morgan and Pottinger is suing me, I have know ideal what it is about!
I received a letter from Morgan and Pottinger regarding a debt for which the sol runs out in March. The letter had a case or docket number on it with my local court house name. I never received a summons and I only got the letter because I happened to be visiting close to where I used to live and a neighbor gave me a few items of mail that had been placed in his box. My question is, should I pay them based on that letter? I refuse to contact them or give them any of my information because I don't want to restart the timeline on the debt. And because of all the negative comments I've seen about how they do business. I don't currently have phone service. I'm in the process of switching carriers. Nothing other than this is the first contact I've seen from them. My greatest concern is that they will receive a default judgement if I do not receive a summons. I just need some guidance, I suppose!
debt collection, summons, that would be preferable for any communications at least in the next hour. Also, want to confirm that no fees apply for engaging in email and/or telephone conversation. Thank you for understanding. Thanks for this service and being so "nice' even via chat! If we can start with email that would be appreciated or I can make an appointment to call later tonight or in morning. Whatever is easier on your end. I can also call a number after about 45 minutes vs. something ringing here if that makes sense. morgan & pottinger. Does the initial consult have attorney/client privilege or no? Everything is such a web that is difficult to figure out... I also do want to ensure that anyone I would be speaking with would in no way be affiliated with morgan & pottinger, discover bank, or any entity related between all and me!
