Received a letter from PFS regarding a medical debt for a Ron Perry. The first letter from them had Perry's birthdate and the name of the hospital. Using this information, I found an obituary for a Ron Perry of Decatur who had the same birthday as on the letter. Called PFS to let them know of their mistake. Lady said, "OK, we send letters to everyone who has a similar name to try and get payment." Thought this was over until I get a second letter. Call and tell them again - they will take care of it. Get a notice from my credit reporter telling me there has been a change in my credit score. I find three detrimental comments on my report about this debt from PFS. Call again today and ask for a supervisor. Tell my story again. She says that she will take care of it. It tell her that she needs the reference number off their letter - she says she doesn't and hangs up!
