I'm having a problem with my hospital bills. Its kind of a long story, but I will make it short. I have a lot of bills from brigham hospital they are charging me a fee for their faculity and for the doctor's visit some times they would put it in the physician's name and then the hospital would chage too. and I don't even go to the hospital I go to a client that!
Gragil has a debt listed on my credit report of about $2000.00. I wrote them twice and requested a validation be sent to me. No response, so I called them and they told me they sent me a letter when they first put it on my report, so they didn't need to respond to my request. I asked about paying off the amount listed on my report and they said I had a larger amount due from previous medical bills. They said the other debt was to old to list on my report, but in order to pay off the listed debt I would need to pay the old debts first. I couldn't pay off the listed debt. I thought they needed to provide validation when requested, and shouln't I be allowed to pay what bills I owe as I see fit, not unverified debt possibly beyond the statute of limitations? They are rude over the phone, I would love to stop their unfair tactics, is there anything I can do legally? Thanks
