Other Phone Numbers That General Revenue Corporation May Be Calling From
In the spring of 2009 I was set to graduate from Lake Forest College, Lake Forest, IL, but just days before graduation I was informed I could not walk due to outstanding tuition fees. At the time neither my parents or I could pay, let alone take on more debt, and my father was in contact with the school's financial aid office to figure something out. They eventually came to an agreement that the school would pick up the remaining tuition costs I owed, but in order to balance the books in time for me to attend graduation and receive my degree on time I would need to sign a temporary Perkins Loan. I thought everything was fine until a couple years after graduating I started to receive collections calls and letters from debt collectors the school had sold my debt to for that temporary Perkins Loan and trying to contact the school and sort things out were ignored. Whether they duped me or I was lost in the shuffle I don't know. Now in the last week I have received at least a dozen phone calls from various numbers associated with General Revenue Corp. 3, 4 or 5 in a single day. They have contacted me in the past and even contacted relatives, my sister and uncle, about my debt. And while I doubt I have much of a chance getting rid of the debt entirely, these tactics to contact me are unacceptable!
