Samantha grew up in Plainfield, Indiana. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Psychology from Indiana University in 2011. She then earned her Juris Doctor degree from The John Marshall Law School in May 2014, and was admitted to the Illinois State Bar on November 6, 2014, and the Indiana State Bar on May 19, 2015.
During law school, Samantha gained experience in civil litigation while working at Kopecky, Schumacher, and Rosenburg, P.C., a firm that focuses on the financial services industry, business law, and securities regulation and litigation. Her passion for helping those in need then took her to the Cook County Public Defender’s office. While at the Public Defender’s office, Samantha worked in the Felony Trial Division in Judge Wadas’ courtroom. As a licensed 711 law clerk, she drafted and argued motions on behalf of her clients, assisted in trials and trial preparation, and took on day-to-day courtroom responsibilities. At Agruss Law Firm, she focuses her practice in the areas of consumer litigation and personal injury.
Samantha is admitted to practice in the state of Illinois and the state of Indiana. She is also admitted to practice in the Northern District of Illinois, the Southern District of Illinois, the Northern District of Indiana, the Southern District of Indiana, the Western District of Wisconsin, the Eastern District of Texas, the Eastern District of Michigan, and the Eastern District of Wisconsin, the District of Nebraska, and the District of Colorado. She is a member of the Indiana Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, National Association of Consumer Advocates, and Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.
Samantha has been named to Super Lawyers Magazine 2017 Illinois Rising Stars list for Civil Litigation.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband watching their favorite sports teams, being outdoors with their two dogs, and catching up on her favorite television shows on the E! Network.
