The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) requires collection agencies to state their name and state that they are collecting a debt in voicemail messages. Once of out clients received the following message from GC Services: Good Afternoon this message is for Deidre, please return the call back today to 800-325-3930 we will be in the office today until 8 pm Eastern Standard time. Thank you and please return this call. Have a great day. Good Bye. If you received a message from GC Services that did not say who was calling or that they were calling to collect a debt, we can help you under the FDCPA.
